Conformity to EN13236 - OSA Membership

Saint-Gobain Abrasives consider conforming to EN13236 - OSA as a top priority to provide safe and reliable products to customers.

oSaAll Norton diamond products have always complied with highest standards (such as DSA, VBG49, BGV D12…). However they now comply with European safety regulation EN13236 “Safety requirements for superabrasives”. The intention of this regulation is to obtain and ensure the highest possible level of product safety to guarantee safe working conditions. Our very strict self-control conditions comply with or exceed EN13236 standard requirements.
 
Saint-Gobain Abrasives is also a founding member of the OSA (Organization for the Safety of Abrasives) which counts among its members only abrasive products manufacturers which comply with European safety regulations.

 

Maximum operating speeds for dry cutting with hand held machines

Safety instructions for the use of Norton diamond blades are supplied with each blade. They also inform on the max. operating speed to be used by diameter.
