Shifting the limits of precision grinding at GrindTec 2016

Norton showcases latest innovations in precision grinding solutions at GrindTec 2016.

From 16th to 19th March, Norton presented its latest technologies for precision grinding in the tool, gear, aerospace, bearing, automotive and general engineering industries.

The International Trade Fair for Grinding Technology, GrindTec is a global platform for introducing equipment, expertise, consumables and new technological developments for the grinding industry. Norton Paradigm, the latest ground-breaking porous metal bond platform was one of the key highlights on the Saint-Gobain Abrasive stand. Paradigm features an exclusive chemistry that delivers an entirely new grain adhesion science, resulting in improved product versatility across a wide range of precision grinding applications.

In addition, Norton Quantum X, the next generation of vitrified grinding wheels caused a stir amongst visitors to the stand. Quantum X combines three of the very best Norton technologies; patented Quantum and Vortex2 3D engineered grain spacing and the revolutionary Vitrium3 bond; resulting in a grinding wheel that provides maximum performance, raised productivity and reduced process costs, delivering unrivalled value and performance, for the ultimate grinding experience.

Technical seminars presented by the Norton Product Management team also took place giving visitors a deeper insight into the new precision grinding technologies.
