Following the hugely successful launch of Quantum3, the high performance range of ceramic cutting and grinding wheels has now been extended. Abrasives powerhouse Norton unleash an absolute best-in-class rail cutting wheel that is designed for safety, engineered for comfort, built to last, and ‘made to bite.’
As the culmination of extensive research, development, and testing; the Norton Quantum3 Rail disc features a new bonding system, which alongside Norton Quantum’s market leading ceramic grain, not only removes material faster than any competing product but has much less vibration and will not overheat the working material either. The result is that the operator is able to hold greater control over the cutting process; delivering cleaner and straighter cuts in the rail track more quickly.
On top of the market leading comfort and performance, Norton also guarantee that the Quantum3 Rail cutting wheel offers the lowest process costs available. The product’s long life span reduces the number of replacement discs required on any given project and, the high speed cutting potential makes the overall metal reworking process much more efficient. A better quality, cleaner and immediately weld-able cut in the first instance, results in less time spent deburring the metal and an overall reduction in time wasted.
Additionally, the benefits of this wheel lead Norton to assert that it is in-fact, the safest in the market. Alongside its market-leading operator comfort with its reduced vibration exposure, the Quantum3 Rail’s long life is such that the operator does not have to move the cutting machine over the track (overhauling) as frequently to finish the cut – this can be a notoriously difficult and dangerous job.
