Norton Liquid Ice - Press Release

Liquid Ice Xtra Cut – Polishing compound from Norton

Norton Abrasives, offer Liquid Ice Xtra Cut Polishing Compound, to complement the existing range of polishing products available today.
Thanks to its unique grain, the Xtra Cut compound provides a fast and effective one step polishing solution on most lacquers and colours, quickly removing scratches and restoring gloss levels. And when used with the existing Norton Step 2 polish, the Liquid Ice polishing range offers a simple to use two step process meeting the needs of the body shop.
In addition, like the current Step 2 polish, Xtra Cut polish is water based, so as well as being better for the operator and environment, the Xtra Cut maintains a much cooler surface temperature minimising any risk of damage to the finish paint. Being water based also means that it is much cleaner to use throughout the process.
Dario Marzorati, Norton’s European Product Manager for Automotive explains – “In today’s market, the body shop is faced with many polishing processes to choose from, so it was important that whatever we launched added value to the consumer. As well as scratch removal, time saving was the critical factor as this has the biggest impact a body shops profit. This has been achieved by offering a one step process in most cases, but also by using a water based product. Not only has it made the entire process cleaner, especially afterwards, but it has helped to keep the panel temperature cooler for longer thus enabling a more productive operation”.
The Liquid Ice polishing range is available in 1ltrs from stock & 5ltrs bottles on request, and the new colour coded lids and polishing head provides an easy to use system. The Liquid Ice polishing range, including Xtra Cut compound, is exclusively designed to work in harmony with the existing abrasives & accessory products from Norton, and this recommended for optimum results.
