Centreless grinding is an OD grinding operation where the work piece seeks its own axis of rotation between the grinding wheel and a regulating wheel. The key components in the process are the grinding wheel, the work rest blade (used to support the work) and the regulating or “feed” wheel (the drive mechanism for the work piece). Centreless wheels are used in he manufacture of flexible or small revolving parts.
