We’re delighted to announce that Saint-Gobain has been certified Top Employer Global for the third year in a row, one of only 13 companies worldwide to have received this accolade. The Top Employer Institute, an independent organisation that issues these certificates, highlighted the openness and mobility between our different businesses, our HR innovation and learning organisation, as well as our Saint-Gobain Attitudes* as key drivers behind the awarding this certification to us.
In 2018, as well as achieving the gold standard global employer position, we also received local certification in 31 countries, three more than in 2017. For the first time ever, Saint-Gobain was certified Top Employer in Argentina, India and Turkey. We also renewed our “Top Employer Europe”, “Top Employer North America” and “Top Employer Asia-Pacific” certifications as well as adding the “Top Employer Latin America” honour for the first time.
“The Top Employer certification is recognition of the commitment of Saint-Gobain and our managers worldwide to developing their teams, attracting and cultivating talented individuals and opening up the field of possibilities,” commented Claire Pedini, Senior Vice President in charge of Human Resources, Saint-Gobain.
Six hundred working condition practices and indicators have been investigated by the Institute for each of the 31 countries certified. These results are then audited and approved by the independent firm Grant Thornton, to ensure the absence of bias in the awards. The list of countries in which we have been certified a Top Employer are: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
