- Achieved: Norton Quantum Prime, Cutting & Grinding discs , Diamond blades, Coated abrasive jumbo's, Comparative scarfing/Norton BZZ
- WIP: Main product lines in Bonded Abrasives vitrified and organic, Super Abrasives vitrified, Coated Abrasives conversion
- Energy efficient abrasives, REACH review, packaging reduction / biodegradable
- Wasterials / secondary raw materials (start using the waste of other industries)
It is a way to promote and increase the number of initiatives on recycling our products
- Recycling routes implementation in progress for Vitrified and Organic Precision grinding wheels
- Recycling waste via reuse:
- Super Abrasives plated reuse of steel cores (E.g. Norton Winter Spring X grinding)
- Super Abrasives vitrified recoat extension (reuse steel cores)
- Plastic reduction: E.g. switching from plastic to paper, reducing the thickness of plastic film, move to biodegradable plastics,…
It is a way to listen actively and reinforce our customer intimacy through common purposes and projects

- Ecovadis “Gold” certification for our Coated Abrasives plant in France. We target “Platinum” and will extend Ecovadis assessments to other sites.

Coated Abrasives

- Outstanding cut rate of Norton RazorStar engineered shaped ceramic grain results in reduced energy consumption up to 20% on stainless steel and up to 34% on Inconel. Its extended product life can also significantly reduce waste.
