Norton MeshPower for the Industrial markets

Demand for a cleaner working environment, better quality finish and reduced consumable cost has led to the release of Norton MeshPower. Developed by our R&D team to create a virtually dust-free working environment, the MeshPower matrix backing structure is designed to extract dust from the sanding surface, improving the environment in traditionally dirty sanding operations.

Ideal for manufacturing and industry, collision repair, woodworking, construction and DIY, Norton MeshPower brings a new solution to a whole range of applications.

Power dust extraction

The MeshPower matrix backing contains thousands of tiny holes to extract dust from the surface you’re working on, improving the finish. The dust is constantly being removed, which means that harmful particles that fill the air during traditional sanding operations are reduced. All this combined allows you to work in a cleaner, healthier environment as well as reducing the time you need to clean up afterwards, meaning you can get straight on to the next job!

Increased productivity & consistency

Our patented Norton No-Fil® technology has been applied to the abrasive grains in our MeshPower range. Alongside the mesh matrix, this also helps to prevent clogging so you can use the products for longer, saving you time and money. It also helps to achieve a better finish with a finer scratch pattern faster, with consistent results throughout the product life as the grain wears evenly. With the open structure and our premium resin bond system, you can use Norton MeshPower products wet or dry to achieve the perfect finish.
When you do eventually need to change discs, the self-gripping backing allows you to do so quickly and easily. And thanks to the innovative mesh matrix, there’s no defined hole pattern so you don’t need to worry about trying to align the holes, just stick it on and get sanding!

Versatility

The Norton MeshPower product range is highly versatile: it can be used on many materials, with or without a machine and on flat and contoured surfaces. It is available in two quality tiers: ‘Best’ with premium ceramic grain and ‘Better’ with aluminium oxide grain so you can choose the right solution for your needs. Coarser grits feature harder backing for heavy duty applications, while light-weight backing on finer grits offers flexibility to work on curves and contours. Available in discs, cut sheets, rolls and with a range of accessories, you can also increase performance even further by using the Norton MeshPower products with our Norton Multi-Air® back-up pads
