Bringing the comfort to bauma, 2019

At Norton Clipper, designing machines that not only perform well but are also comfortable to use, is a key concern. The majority of the equipment we are presenting at bauma has been developed to improve the safety and/or experience of the operator in some way; whether it be technology that decreases noise, reduces vibrations or reduces the risk of injury. A Here’s a look at some of those products:

Keeping the noise down

We think our multi-award winning Silencio blades are one of the biggest innovations in the history of diamond blades. The perfect choice for residential areas, city centres, schools and hospitals where noise needs to be kept to absolute minimum, Norton Clipper Silencio is our most efficient diamond blade for granite, concrete and general purpose materials.

No white fingers in sight

We have written at length about Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome or ‘White Finger’ and the inherent risks that chronic exposure to vibration can cause. With that in mind, we’d like to draw your attention to our CS451 Floor Saw which incorporates vibration absorbing handlebars. In tests, the anti-vibration technology reduced hand-arm vibrations by up to 40% when compared to a competitor product.

With vibration dampening technology, The Norton Extreme CG Grinding Cup significantly dampens the harsh vibration generated when grinding. Subsequently, the operator is less prone to white finger. Operationally, this also means that the user is able to work up to four times longer than with standard grinding cups and, has much better control over of their work. Additionally, the Extreme CG Comfort features Norton’s patented iHD (Infiltrated High Density) auto attachment technology, which offers a uniform density across each diamond segment without the need for high pressure. This, in combination with an aggressive shape and segment configuration creates an unbeatable combination of high material removal rate and extra-long product life.

Stay safe and out there

We are proud to be launching Invincible Diamond Blades the bauma exhibition and these feature our safest segment technology. The advanced auto-attachment method is the safest bonding process in a diamond blade; making use of a copper alloy that brazes the diamond segment directly to the steel centre of the blade by infiltration. This bond is so strong, that the segments are made ‘invincible’.
