Abrasive Specialties
The Norton abrasive specialties line consists of square pads, cross pads, overlapped slotted discs, bore polishers, cartridge rolls, spiral bands, cross buffs and non-woven stars. Users turn to Norton specialties for their conformability and performance on common maintenance repair and metal fab applications where the parts being finished are intricate and/or hard to access.

Cartridge Rolls
Cartridge rolls are a valuable abrasive tool for reaching into corners, where larger diameter tools can't work. They are typically used to remove flash and machine tool marks as well as general polishing and edge breaking.

Tapered cartridge rolls are especially useful for grinding and polishing channels, fillets and radii and deburring small holes. Our tapered cartridge rolls also conform to small, hard-to-reach areas that are difficult to reach with a full cartridge roll.

Square pads are used on high-speed pneumatic tools for deburring, blending, cleaning and polishing applications. Corners wear consistently so the pads become round for less aggressive stock removal and they grind almost as fast as hard wheels with easier control.

The shape of our cross pads allows the user to see through to the contact area, providing greater versatility than other specialty abrasive products as they conform to variable internal diameters. Our cross pads are also designed with a standard quick-change eyelet allowing for easier on/off attachment.

Overlap slotted discs are ideally suited for deburring and polishing radii, holes and cylinder walls. Their flexibility, combined with abrasives on both the front and back sides of the disc, make them more effective when working on hard-to-reach areas like cylinder grooves and slots.

Bore polishers are mix of coated and non-woven flaps that are stacked to create an interleaf design. They can be used to clean and deburr interiors of bores, cylinders, tubes and fittings and can polish and finish in one easy application.

If you are cleaning and polishing inside diameters of steel and non-ferrous metals, our cross buffs are a great choice especially for small, hard-to-reach areas.

Non-woven stars are used to clean the surface of the workpiece without disturbing any tolerances. The tips of the star pads deliver consistent outward pressure for a smooth finish and are the perfect abrasive product for ID work.
